London's importance as a global destination for work, education, retail and leisure, underpinned by the Rule of Law, traditionally generates strong international demand. Combined with a shortage of stock - fewer than 3,500 properties currently change hands each year - there is strong upward pressure on prices in normal trading conditions.
Political headwinds over the last few years and uncertainty around Brexit have resulted in a period of sustained price falls, further exacerbated by the pandemic. This presents an opportunity to acquire prime assets at significant discounts.
