House Price Calculator

LCP has created a unique calculator using HM Land Registry data specifically for the two prime London Central boroughs - The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and The City of Westminster.

The calculator looks at the average change in prices since Q1 1996, the date at which Land Registry first published this data. Land Registry's quarterly results represent the only comprehensive data source available as it records all completed sales in England & Wales.

As the data can only be compiled once properties are bought and registered, it lags behind the publication of such reports as the Nationwide and HBOS house price indices. However, it should be remembered that these are for mortgage offers only and combined represent only about 25% of the mortgage market, mainly the domestic one. Their average house price is less than 25% of that in London Central.
